This Weeks News... Emily Herbold wins Gold at the Level 8 State Gymnastics Championships! This weekend, Emily put 4 great events together to win her first, but most important meet of the season. Emily won Silver on the Vault, Gold on the Bars, Bronze on the Beam, and 6th on the Floor. All those scores added up to the new Reigning Pennsylvania State Champion! Emily was also honored at the Graduating Senior Ceremonies prior to realizing she won the award. In the ceremony she thanked her Parents, Team Mates & Coaches for all they have done. Then, she noted her most happy memory in the sport was when Doug told her she had qualified to Regionals. We think she has a new one now! Emily will represent the 6 Man PA Team at the upcoming Regional Championships in Maryland. As a PA Team member, she will battle 7 other states for bragging rites! We would also like to congratulate Nicole Steenrod who also qualified to the Level 8 Regional Championships. GOOD LUCK LEVEL 9 Regional Qualifiers! Lexi Cadden / Chelsea Cowan / Sophie Mazza / Brittany Vasile will all battle this weekend in Allentown, PA to try to qualify to the National Championships! Good Luck Girls! |
