Things to do in Erie
Even though the Star's & Stripes Invitational is hosted in Erie (heart of the snow belt) in the middle of Winter, there is still a ton of fun in Erie. First off, we do get a lot of snow, however knowing that, Erie is really well equipped to deal with the snow. Erie annually get an average of 110 inches of snow. My son is currently in 8th grade. Since Kindergarten the school has closed once due to snow. What we don't do is just sit around doing nothing. There is lots of interesting things to do on your visit here to mini-Alaska. Below are a few of my recommendations with links to their sites. If you have any specific questions or interests - please feel free to email any questions. For example, Ice Fishing is popular here, however I don't really think of it as a family activity so I didn't list it, however if you're interested drop me an email.

How to dress when in Erie. We recommend a warm hat kind of like the one Santa wears. The hat should have a tassel on the end. This comes in handy as a mouth gaurd to put between your teeth when they start to chatter. We also recommend a warm leotard. As shown in the picture to the left, some people in Erie wear Unitards that really help keep your legs warm. | |||||||||||||||||||||
